Wizards Prefer Redheads

It's true, by the way. A Split Seven Ways song made me realize this fact. I'm fond of half the songs on her Marauders' Era EP, The Best Days of Our Lives, which you can download HERE. It's a great EP, I just wish there was less Lily/Snape. -dies- I will never ever approve of that pairing.

Tonight I am going to try to work on a rap song. It's going to be pretty epic. I'm also thinking I might need to write a song called Wizards Prefer Redheads. It'll be great. It will require me to keep dying my hair red, which will annoy my mom. Amortentia already requires me to be a redhead though so it's okay. Speaking of Amortentia, I decided that melody was incredibly boring, so I'm going to rework it a bit. I'm not sure how well that will work but I'll always love that song as it was my first Wrock song.

I cannot wait to get my bass. It's a Yamaha RBX170. It will be black and sparkly and I will paint stars and a moon on it so that it's perfect. Then I will work out the bass lines for all of the songs I've written. I'm going to get some recording equipment for Christmas so that hopefully by 2009, our myspace will be set up with music and we will be able to share our love of Harry Potter and reading and all that amazing stuff. I'm really looking forward to that. There really is very little else that I've been this excited about in a while. Honestly, I will be so depressed if it doesn't work out. I really wish I would have gotten into wrock music sooner.

As you may have guessed from the new icon, Catchlove is my current obsession. The Whomping Willows will always be my favorite wrock band, but Jace is amazing. I hope I get to see him perform again in the near-ish future. I'm really disappointed that he won't be playing at NYC Wrock Fest. I'm really looking forward to that. (Just over a month away!) Although to be honest, I don't think there is anyway it can top Wrock Chicago. It will be fantastic to get to see Nagini, The Whomping Willows, The Remus Lupins, and Draco and the Malfoys again. I'm also excited to get to see Split Seven Ways, as she is from England so I don't think I'll get to see her very often, if ever again.

I'm honestly kind of excited for school this year. I know I wasn't for most of the summer but now that I know that I'm going to have all these wrock shows to go to, I'll be learning bass and writing songs, taking classes that interest me, watching lots of amazing tv shows, and hanging out with my friends from school.... well, I'm a lot more optimistic. Thank god I got my job this summer and my uncle/the people whose cats I took care of are really generous about paying me so that I can do all this really awesome stuff (like getting to see Daniel Radcliffe in Equus!!!!). This has been an epic summer and I'm sure this school year will be good too.

I thought I had more to say, but I can't remember so I'm going to end it here so I can go shower and get ready to sleep before I work on a few songs.

HI. I am sad the song is being evil. But it should go on a shirt.
I wish wizard bands came to Galesburg. And that I had discovered the music earlier too.
Yay for Equus.
Once our band is all set up and such, we can start a trend of wrock bands playing in Galesburg.
